An online graduate certificate in low vision rehabilitation for occupational
therapists is now available at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
The curriculum is taught by Mary Warren MS, OTR/L, SCLV, FAOTA and several
occupational therapy experts in low vision rehabilitation. Students
take 17 hours of specialized courses in low vision rehabilitation.
The curriculum is designed for working clinicians and focuses on practical
clinical application. Computer expertise and access to a medical library
is not required. Students qualify for in-state tuition and international
students are accepted. UAB is the only university in the United States
offering an extensive low vision curriculum and graduate certificate
to occupational therapists. Applications must be received by September
1st for acceptance into the upcoming class.
